Coming Home: A Virtual Retreat for Women
October 30-November 1, 2020
Despite the influx of uncertainty, fear, and scarcity in today’s society, you can establish and maintain practices that integrate every aspect of yourself: physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual to access the deep calm and safety that is present in each of us.
As we strengthen our connection with our Self, we inevitably share our integration, love, and joy with others and the world around us.
Jess, Elizabeth, and Maria come to this event with training in specific modalities to lead you through a weekend of Self-awareness, Self-love, and, Self-care.
The weekend will give you access to the combined efforts of two licensed clinical social workers, a certified yoga therapist, 200 hour yoga teacher, and certified energy health practitioner who has been an RN for over 40 years. They base their work on the philosophy that each of us is inherently whole and complete.
We will also have an interview with Nancy Jones, author of From Touched to Exalted, who will share her story of healing from trauma.
The Facilitators
Maria loves working with smart ambitious women who may feel stuck in overwhelm, overachieving and caring for others. The truth is Maria lived in that state of existence for many years, but not anymore. She wants the same for you if you’re interested.
Maria does her finest work with women who, in spite of waning confidence, want to redefine life through meaning and joy, not by doing more, but by doing things differently; moving beyond stress management toward wound healing.
Imagine allowing yourself to be found. Allowing yourself to be loved. Allowing yourself to be cared for. Meaning and strength is recovered through the doorway of loss and trauma.
How? By learning safe, evidence based self-care techniques that guide you step by step toward emotional freedom. Over time, obstacles are transformed into pathways and connections for creative and energized living.
Maria is an RN with over 40 years of experience, most of it in hospice. 10 years ago she became a certified EFT/Tapping practitioner. She can help you to create life changing results for yourself.
As a psychotherapist and yoga therapist, Jess helps women identify and reach their personal goals utilizing an integrative approach that includes focusing on strengths, trauma informed care, and nervous system regulation. Women looking forward to increasing self-efficacy, developing tools for self-regulation, and motivated to make change will be supported and empowered to access their innate healing ability through tools such as yoga, breath work, mindfulness and meditation.
We live in a society that promotes chronic stress, fear, and scarcity. Each of us has a desire to access and integrate the innate sense of peace and wholeness that we already possess.
Jess strives to create a space where women can feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow and heal.
Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has ten years experience in the field of Gerontology. She and her Social Work colleagues worked together to develop a variety of small groups to meet the needs of clientele; grief support, living with COPD, and a mindfulness and yoga group. In one of her favorite groups, she worked alongside Maria and Jess to develop and facilitate an alternative pain relief program using mindfulness, tapping, yoga therapy and music therapy as modalities for pain relief.
She has since completed her 200 hour yoga teaching certification and continues to study Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Elizabeth is currently working for the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work coordinating fellowships for students. She is also working with Relationship Resolutions, offering individual and couples counseling.
Learn about Nancy’s incredible journey from Touched to Exalted. From her own life experience she has recognized that there are countless wounded adults stemming from childhood trauma who are spiritually bankrupt and void of any hope for change as she once was. Based upon the many institutions that have eliminated a positive life concept, it’s no wonder there appears to be little or no possibility on healing.
There are those, like Nancy, who believe they carry a responsibility to present and share the idea of a healing personal relationship rather than the mere participation in restrictive organized religious genres.
Nancy recognizes that for such a time as this, people of all ages are desperate for hope instead of fear, love instead of hate, and trust instead of deceit. Allow her to share with you her transformation from occasional spiritual touches to the most important relationship ever, as well as healing in mind, body and spirit.
